Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in Earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
Forgive us our debts as we have forgiven our debtors.
Leave us not in temptation.
You will deliver us from evil.
Thine is the kingdom, Thine is the power, Thine is the glory, forever. Amen.
This version of the Lord’s Prayer was delivered by Jesus through Nada-Yolanda, cofounder of Mark-Age, in spiritual-mental communion on June 21, 1961. Repeating it before every meditation is the only formality observed by Mark-Age associates. It is the most powerful invocation, the most complete capsule formula for spiritual development, given yet on Earth. It has inbuilt within it insurance for protection of the light from anything less than perfect good, which is God.
Lord has three meanings. It refers to the laws of God. The Lord is God, for God made all cosmic laws and is His own laws in action. It also relates to Jesus’ personal teachings. “Teach us, Lord, how to pray,” his followers asked him. The title of Lord is given to one who has mastered the spiritual laws of life. But all men are striving to become masters over their destinies and the divine laws of the universe which govern our development. So, it is the prayer for those who seek to become lord and master over the mortal self in order to demonstrate the spiritual Self.
Briefly, the following are some of the basic thoughts which should accompany the reciting of the Lord’s Prayer whenever you use it for protection or guidance.
Our Father is the basis and summation of your immediate request and of every spiritual realization. God or good is the Father or Parent, Creative Principle, Prime Cause of being of all that exists. Therefore, you are irrevocably related to and joined with all creation by saying our. There is no place to go, in meditation or in evolutionary progress, where God and His creations are not.
Which art in heaven means you are addressing that part of yourself and of all other forces which is totally balanced and in the original state of spiritual good. In other words, the high Self of you and the high Selves of everyone else around you, on this physical plane and the invisible planes, are part of the one and only Creator.
Hallowed be Thy name states that you recognize and respect that the nature and essence (name) of this Force or Prime Energy are good and holy (hallowed).
Thy kingdom come tells us there is an activity which is in the process of unfolding and in which we are involved. That is why we are in meditation and developing conscious union with the spiritual Self. Obviously, God’s kingdom has not arrived yet for men of Earth, since God is total balance, good and harmony. We are working toward this manifestation for the Earth planet. Also, earth refers to our own bodies and individual consciousness.
Thy will be done in Earth as it is in heaven gives us the goal for which we are meditating, growing and evolving throughout eternity. God’s will is for all that is good, immortal and perfection, for this is the nature and essence (name) of God. The ultimate aim and purpose are for this good to be in the Earth (our personal bodies and lives as well as the congregation of all of us together, which is the planet) just as it is in heaven (our original state of creation, which is total balance, harmony, peace and love).
Give us this day our daily bread. In this simple statement we show our total reliance on Spirit, which is all there is, to supply us with all our needs each day of our existence. Bread in this instance means all substance that is necessary nourishment for our growth on all levels: spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically.
Forgive us our debts as we have forgiven our debtors. As you begin your spiritual climb, an early lesson is that of forgiveness: give love for mistakes. Give love for yourself in spite of the mistakes of the past and the lack of understanding in the present. Give love for those things which others have done to you, since they possibly lack even the level of understanding you have reached.
A debt is a payment as yet unpaid. In our spiritual unfoldment we learn quickly that our heartaches and troubles are the effects of causes we have created in the past, in this life or in other lives, and that we are in the process of paying off this karma or debt.
But the key to our entire balance (debts completely eliminated; and everything in harmony, as in the beginning of our creation) is that the law of God states that our debts can be wiped out with the same rate of interest and at the same rate of time that we are willing to accept those debts owed to us by others. How you treat or wish to treat anyone else is exactly how the Lord (the law of God) treats you in return.
Leave us not in temptation. This entire Earth life and our evolvement out of it are full of temptations. Even Jesus, when he had earned those powers of his Sonship with God and had learned of his true role on Earth, was tempted. Only by invoking the highest in us and in all that we contact on the outer and the inner planes can we pass safely through the areas of temptation. These temptations are not only physical ones but are mental ones also.
You will deliver us from evil. Only the good (God-oriented) intentions, thoughts, willingness and actions on our part can deliver us from error (evil). So, in order not to create more mistakes (debts), we must continue to learn and to use the divine laws, love and light which are God.
Thine is the kingdom. Everything that is created belongs to that which created it. Therefore, we of ourselves own nothing, can possess no talent, no life, no thing that will not return unto the One, who is creation itself.
Thine is the power. There is only one Power or Energy. We can use It because we are created from It and are part of It. But of ourselves we do not have, and never can have, a power or a force that is alien or separated from the one Power.
Thine is the glory. In our search and growth for spiritual development, powers, wisdom, talents and deeds, we are prevented by this statement and decree from accepting any credits or honors. Everything we do, think and desire must be for the glory of our own higher Self within, the part of us which is God.
Forever clearly states that what we do achieve positively and constructively in this growth process and unfoldment shall be credited to us throughout all eternity.
Amen means so be it. It will be done according to our faith in what we believe and our strength to follow through in our new understanding.
Every time you repeat the Lord’s Prayer, you should get something new and greater out of it. Every time you say it, you should reach for a higher goal in your climb to union with your spiritual Self and the God essence within all other forms of creation everywhere, forever.
Consciously weave the light of God essence, power, love, truth, wisdom and goodness all around your mental, emotional and physical bodies. Do the same for all those who are physically with you, to protect them and yourself from anything less than this supreme aim.
Realize that this same God Force is in every other form of creation, whether they be entities from other planes and planets contacting you in the spiritual or mental sense or whether they be creations of a lower evolvement. Our Father has created all that exists. Therefore, since He created us and we are part of Him, we are part of all other things, now and forever.

Addendum: Explaining the Lord’s Prayer, John Mark channeled the following through Nada-Yolanda on June 21, 1961:
“In this prayer, you do not ask or plead for anything that is not your rightful daily heritage. You affirm all that is. You see it in effect in your own life and in the life of all who are on the dimension upon which you are living. For the prayer opens with ‘Our Father.’
“Here alone would be all you would need of the prayer. If you could put the thought and feeling into those two words, that are repeated and explained by the rest of the prayer, when saying ‘Our Father,’ you would need to say nothing more than this, except, ‘Thy will be done.’
” ‘Our Father’: what does it mean? It means that we have one Creator. It means we are one with a Force that is a Father or a Producer. This Creative Producer, whom we call Father out of affection and out of understanding that this Force created us to begin with, would naturally give us nothing but what was good for our evolvement and our existence.
“The word our means that It belongs to all. Therefore, the power of the prayer is in the first two words. Each word following that speaks to this Force, which is Good and which is shared by all, to bring into manifestation the various necessities for our continued evolvement in the mental, physical and spiritual expressions of our being.”

What more profound words of wisdom and protection can we evoke than the Lord’s Prayer? It holds a meaning that transcends words and which moves us from thoughts to whole concepts. So, as we say this powerful prayer, let us come forward with our cups empty, ready to have them filled by the fullness of God’s divine light and love.
