“Judge not, that you may not be judged. For with the same judgment that you judge, you will be judged, and with the same measure with which you measure, it will be measured to you.”
— Matthew 7:1–2
THIS ADMONITION BY SANANDA AS JESUS presents a delicate balance in interpretation and application. There are two levels of interpretation and application: the mortal level and the Christ or I Am level. Cosmic law applies on all levels. But mortal man, even highly evolved intellectual man with good intentions and high moral principles, interprets the law differently from Christed man. For instance, the Judaic law brought by the prophet Moses — another of Sananda’s incarnations — is “an eye for an eye”; the Christ understanding of the law, “forgiveness of sin through love,” was introduced by Jesus.
Judgment is applied on various levels. It is a divine faculty, one of the twelve to be exercised, developed and utilized by spiritual man. Judgment, exampled by the disciple James Zebedee, is related to wisdom and justice. [See Birth of the Light Body, Chapter 4.] Solomon sought wisdom and used it well. The Christ Self constantly balances wisely cause and effect to bring about divine justice in one’s development, affairs, relationships and services.
The following excerpts from Chapters 9 and 10 of Plan A Nation [out of print] explain proper approaches to judgment:
” ‘Judge not, lest you be judged’ . . . is not an admonition not to analyze, not to discern, not to discriminate against something that is of a lower level than you wish to experience or to express in your own evolutionary growth pattern. ‘Judge not’ means not to judge in a lower capacity, from a lower level of consciousness than the spirit within you is capable of discerning or of evaluating. You must take all things into balanced concept and context. . . .
“How do you evaluate and balance the admonition ‘Judge not, lest you be judged’? Before you judge a person’s actions, reactions, affairs, pattern, role or mission, you must be at the peak of I Am consciousness so as to see all that is below and around that situation or that relationship you are judging or discerning.
“A main purpose of the Hierarchy’s program for this Latter-Day period is to give you the standards, the qualifications, the requirements, the needs, the spiritual laws in effect for this planet, for all mankind upon it, and for all the other kingdoms which reside on the planet. These teachings and guidelines are given so you will judge fairly and discern clearly where you are and what you must do in order to help lift all men into spiritual consciousness for the coming of the fourth dimensional frequency vibration. . . .
“As much as possible, you must learn to discern or to judge certain conditions in yourself and in others from the Christ level or the I Am peak. As you are confronted with each situation in yourself and in others, and at each level where you are making these judgments and evaluations, you must ask yourself: ‘Is this my personality judgment, is this my emotional review, is this my psychological or intellectual analysis, is this something in my past record that colors my attitude and concepts, or is this according to spiritual laws and practices?’
“It is wise and helpful in the early stages of cleansing and rebalancing to take each situation and analyze it from every level, every grade and every aspect of the situation as it is presented to your point of view. You never can know all there is about everything. God alone knows that. But in trying to achieve Christ consciousness or to express God as reflected through your individual instrumentation, you attempt to see it from the point of view that God would see it through your eyes, through your experience, through your individual aspect and uniqueness. . . .
“Unless you have the cosmic view and can see all the varied roles and functions the individual performs in his or her daily existence, you cannot balance or discern rightly whether the thought, the word or the actions are proper according to that person’s present state of evolution and understanding. Here we have not taken into consideration even the past lives, roles and experiences that person may have had. Automatically, all of that is taken into consideration when viewing the problems, the conditions or the difficulties from the Christ Self or the peak of I Am consciousness. . . .
“Each soul has many threads or patterns woven into the total soul fabric. Each incarnation follows the color of a particular thread for one or more of the myriad patterns in the entire design. Each person plays many roles and performs many functions in each incarnation.
“Therefore, we caution everyone not to evaluate or to judge from intellectual levels as to where a soul is in his or her spiritual development. Only those using the perceptions and the will of the I Am Self truly are capable of discerning or spiritually judging others. The last judgment is the one made through the eyes and with the heart of the Christ Self.”
Every Day Is Judgment Day
Judge not a fellow traveler by outer appearances and man-made evaluations. Privileged with the divine gift of reading the soul records of others, I have seen the importance of this demonstrated dramatically many times. In hundreds of soul counselings since 1956, I often have started with my private opinions, standards, concepts and limited interpretations of what is strong or weak, good or evil, right or wrong; only to be shocked in many cases after requesting the truth to be unveiled via the Christ or I Am level of consciousness.
First and foremost I ask only that the Christ Self of the other person reveal to my Christ Self, Nada, what the truth is in the matter and how to correct any error. Often what seems weak actually is strong; what seems wrong really has been the righting of a wrong; what seems to be a violation or an aggression actually is retribution for a past action, perhaps even worse than what is presently inflicted. God always is good and merciful.
To see or to diagnose a situation is only half the work. Knowing cosmic law and principle is mandatory for therapy. However, as spiritual physicians it is not ours to do the healing. We cannot heal another person of his soul impaction. The patient heals himself; first by knowing the cause, then by applying corrective remedies to mind, body and soul. This must be done in equal measure to the work done in diagnosing and understanding, otherwise a greater error will come; since the door has been opened to truth and a way has been made for correct action to enter.
Mind, body and soul constantly and inevitably are interacting upon one another. According to the level of consciousness and the area being treated, and according to the type of physician, judgments are being made, are they not?
If a medical physician decides a patient’s drippy nose is caused by a virus and gives an antibiotic, he makes a judgment. It might be fatal if the patient is allergic to that antibiotic. This kind of decision is made mainly through the discernment of mortal and analytical consciousness, based on prior and learned experiences. But it is a form of judgment nonetheless.
We all make judgments and choices every day in thought, word and action. Do not say people do not have a choice. That is tantamount to saying we have been deprived of free will, which never can happen. We can abuse free will, we can forfeit it and turn it over to another temporarily, but we never can eliminate it.
Even many things which may appear to be beyond our application of freewill choice actually are determined by us. For example, before birth into the present embodiment, we might choose gender, color, parents, environment, culture, and the general pattern for the type of life and associates that will teach us additional lessons and talents in order for us to balance further our soul records and to eliminate or to correct errors. Therefore, we truthfully cannot say that this or that person with such-and-such a problem has no choice. We chose our major challenges before birth. This may mean unconscious, seemingly impossible obstacles with which to cope.
Furthermore, this Mark Age [age of marks] period of time on Earth is the Judgment Day. It is a special and unique era. Its theme is “judge and be judged”; but by the Christ Self. In the Holy Bible, the Book of Revelation gives guidelines not only for the entire race of man in general but also specifically for every soul on the planet now to judge his or her life. Chapter 3 of Angels and Man further explains the current judgment time for man of Earth.
Compare the mortal vehicle to a car. When one sins or makes a mistake, his or her conscience — call it Christ or I Am Self, Buddhic state, Jehovah or superconscious mind — flashes a signal to the mortal self. He or she can ignore the signal — that is freewill choice — and can burn out the engine and ruin the machinery altogether. Or he or she can stop at any point on the highway to truth for repairs.
The Judgment Day is not going to be Jesus descending on a cloud with a magic baton, choosing up sides for a War of Armageddon. It is the drama of our individual I Am Selves deciding which thoughts, words, actions and services can be kept for positive, creative future events; and which ones are to be transmuted and removed from our soul records because they are destructive to our evolution and only temporarily served as vivid examples and graphic lessons.
Every day of the Mark Age period and program [Latter Days] is Judgment Day for each person now on Earth and in the Earth’s astral planes. In this we do not have a freewill choice, because this is a cosmic event and a decree beyond our sphere of influence as children of our Father-Mother God, and because it affects not only the race of man but all creation in this solar system.
Many may ask: “How long must I pay for my sins? How much grief am I to suffer? Where should I pay my penance? How else should I cross out errors in my mind, soul and body?” Only the I Am Self can answer those things for each person. No other one can judge you. However, Nada or others of the Karmic Board — which is set up to evaluate cause and effect for the Hierarchy of this solar system — can show the way and can reply with cosmic laws and principles as guidelines.* In this respect Sananda has stated, “Nada is the judge of the soul records, and sometimes she must be both judge and jury.”
It is not Pauline (my given name), the personality self for this lifetime; it is not Yolanda, the soul aspect in this solar system, who can so judge. But it is Nada — working with the balance of all souls in evolution throughout various dimensions, planes and planets of this solar system; and considering also the other elements, forms and creations with whom we interrelate — who possibly might be given the response to such questionings about one’s soul record. But the response will not be for everyone who may ask this, and not for every situation or dilemma. Indeed, I no longer give soul readings for others except in special cases where so guided by the Hierarchal Board. But most important, my works serve as an example of judging from the Christ, not the mortal, consciousness.
To Thine Own Self Be True
What then, on this conscious level, is the answer to discernment and judgment when we are without specific, accurate information about the past soul record? To thine own Self be true. Man, know thy Self. Your first obligation is to the Self. For if you deprive your Self of a proper, clear, balanced vehicle — body, mind or soul — to function through, you are not of the highest good to anyone or anything else. You cannot sacrifice your Self for another. Your Self is the God part of you. Each other person likewise has God in him or her, and has the divine right to discover that God Self and to demonstrate it.
Learn to know your Self. Learn potentials, powers, attributes and characteristics of your Self. Perfect your mortal vehicle, to allow your Self an opportunity to express through it. Thus, others will take courage from the example, the individuality and the unique specialty which are you alone. Be your Self.
What of self-sacrifice, selflessness, retribution and payment for sins? The greatest sins are those against the Self. When you sin against another human being, you sin against the spirit which is in yourself, the I Am essence, the Christ Self. Each one has a similar spirit or essence. We are equal in that respect.
When you err, have a wrong thought about someone, speak an untruth, you sin against your God Self and the I Am of those with whom you are involved in the situation of error. On the conscious level, these are the people you are associated with in one form or another. On the unconscious level, one is related to the whole society; for we are part of the whole, and the whole reflects each of its parts.
Our Father Spirit judges only with right judgment. Every good deed is rewarded. Every loving thought and caring manner is returned to us in like measure, often with interest running over.
Let God be the judge. The God Self of each one — connected to our Father, who is Cosmic Energy and Life Force — judges the due payment, balances the books, clears the record, issues a clean book of life and resurrects the new life. So it is and always will be. Let us give thanks that this is so. Strive to pattern and to establish this principle firmly in your daily life, and radiate this example into the mass consciousness during this War of Armageddon.

Thank you for another excellent Motah Chronicles! Indeed, balance is the key to all things in life. Hopefully our planet will soon be and follow the way of balance.
