SPEAK IN MY NAME. I am sure that you as well as I could spend a great deal of time and meditation contemplating, writing, expanding upon this theme of speak in my name. I am not going to carry it to the extreme that many people do when they say, “God told me to say this or to do this.”
Rather, when we at Mark-Age speak in the name of God, we do so only in the sense that we feel we are doing, or want to do, that which God would want us 
to do: the will of God. Even then, in most instances, it is the information we have received from those in higher planes, who are much more intuned with what God would want. For they are in the celestial realm, or the etheric or Christ realm, where they are speaking in their high Self, Christ, I Am Self consciousness. We have the same ability here.
But we do not wish to mislead anyone to believe that what we are speaking to you at any time is God speaking directly through us; giving new rules, new regulations, new interpretations, or anything of this nature. For we believe at Mark-Age that when we speak in the name of God or for God, it is only through the high Self, the Christ Self of ourselves or of someone else, or through those in the angelic realm who have this authority — such as Archangels Uriel and Katoomi [Michael] — that we have this intunement and thus are able to speak in the higher consciousness.
So, we hope you will consider this also in your own thoughts and actions, and will not say to others: “I speak in the name of God”; or, “This is God telling me to tell you this,” and so forth. We all have seen too much of this; which is not to say we do not feel we are intuned with God, because we are. We are one in Divine Mind.
But when we speak in God’s name, it is to relay information that has come from higher sources, not from ourselves in this mortal consciousness. We would like to have this thought firmly impressed upon the minds of all of those who hear or read this, as a guideline for you too.
Speaking for Sananda
Speak in my name. The primary function of Mark-Age in employing this theme and using this in all of our thoughts, actions, deeds, every part of our Mark-Age program, is in speaking in the name of, first of all, Sananda, who is the leader of this program for the Second Coming.
There are some people who may think Sananda is God. He is a part of God, just as the high Self of each one of us is. Sananda is not the entire Hierarchal Board, either, but a member of the Hierarchal Board, the ruling Council of Seven in the Hierarchy of the solar 
system. More importantly, as concerns the Earth for the Second Coming, he is the ruler, the spiritual Prince, of Earth. Therefore, he is truly the leader of the Second Coming aspect of the program.
However, we know the hierarchal plan and program are of a much vaster scope than that. They not only involve lifting those of the race of man incarnated upon and about the Earth into a higher consciousness but also include a preparation — looking ahead two thousand to three thousand years — to entering into a completely new cycle of evolution for man of Earth.
When we say speak in my name, we are referring here for the most part, and particularly for all Mark-Age functions, to the preparation for the Second Coming; to speaking in the name of, or at least for, Sananda.
At Mark-Age we never attempt to put words into the mouths of those in the higher planes, be they of the etheric or the angelic realms. Rather, we relate to you what they speak, in their own words; or what they relay to us by thought which is to be interpreted by us; plus our own expansion and analysis and interpretations of that. We are very careful that in doing so we are as close as possible to speaking in their name; or at least using their thoughts, ideas and expressions, not adding our own thoughts thereto.
For this has been one of the gravest errors that man of Earth has been committing for eons of time, and still is committing: adding his own interpretations, or speaking in his own name with his own ideas, of what God would have us do, what the Hierarchal Board would have us do, and what the Christ Self of each person would have him or her do.
Caution in Discernment
Therefore, we must be careful. We must delineate clearly in whose name we are speaking: if it is indeed that of the Christ Self or of members of the Hierarchal Board or of Spirit; or if it is in the name of the mortal consciousness which would add all types of embellishments to what truly is coming forth from the higher consciousness or from those in the higher consciousness in the higher dimensions.
As we have known for many years, as we have witnessed in many people — whether they are channels or whether they are speaking, as they feel, from a higher intunement — once the mortal consciousness gets involved in the message being delivered or the thought being received, the words being expressed by someone on a higher plane or by one’s own higher consciousness, then that person in the higher consciousness steps back and leaves. He or she is involved no further in that communication; if, indeed, any further involved in the rest of the lifetime or for some period of time with that person.
That person may blithely go on feeling or wanting to believe he or she is truly in touch still with one in the higher consciousness, and is speaking in the name of that person, on a higher plane. This is the main reason there is so much error in channeled messages of all kinds being relayed upon the Earth now. This is why it is so important to set down a lot of basic concepts for speaking in the name of, or attempting to speak in the name of, one in a higher consciousness who wishes to relay information on the hierarchal plan and program, on the spiritual development of all, on the unfolding of the Christ heritage and powers within all people on Earth, the second coming of each into Christ consciousness.
This is the ultimate criterion: that such a person or channel speak only that which is being given, or is within the bounds of the message being given; that if there is opportunity for a cleared and pure channel to amplify a bit, that channel has been given such clearance by the higher masters and is allowed to do so.
This is one thing of which we have been extremely careful. For many years we have spent a great deal of time urging many channels and other people, readers as well as light workers: be careful in whose name you speak. If you are speaking as a channel, be sure it is truth coming through; and seek verification that truly you or someone else is speaking in the name of the person whose name is being used.
But even if you may not be a channel and are not bringing forth conscious communications, automatic writings, anything of this nature, be sure that as a student, as a light worker, as a reader who is studying the communications from someone else, truly the channel is speaking in that person’s name.
We have recognized for many years, and have gone through ourselves, the feeling that if there is a master’s name on something, it is difficult for a channel, and particularly for those who are reading it, to stand up to that and say: “I don’t believe that comes from such and such a person just because it says so; it might be. But I’d like to have further verification and proof from within myself, from other sources too, if I can’t accept it right now. If it is wrong, I’ll reject it. If I reject that which is truth, I do so with the belief that there will be added unto me in the future a higher understanding. Therefore, I will know more of what we are seeking, and I will not have to be concerned with this moment of indecision or rejection; for I am doing what I feel within is right.”
Be careful in whose name you speak, or in whose name you accept that which is being spoken. Above all, within your own consciousness when you say or feel or think you are speaking in the name of your Christ Self, try to be very careful that indeed you are doing this. Let us not try to pass off — as mortal man has for years; as all of us do to some extent now — our own thoughts and actions, and want to kid ourselves and others into thinking we are speaking for the high Self or in high Self purposes when we know we are not. Let’s not blame ourselves necessarily for everything of this nature, but strive to do better.
Truly seek to speak in the name of the Christ Self. When you get the feeling from within to speak in my name, the name of the Christ Self within, then speak in the I Am consciousness, act in the I Am consciousness, be in the I Am consciousness, striving to do your very best in that.
Speak in my name. I Am that name. I am that I Am: the I Am Self, the Christ Self within. This is the name for you to speak in, now and henceforth.
